For almost fifteen years, I've been writing about money, finance, markets, economics, and investing for professional audiences.
One day, I was on Facebook and read a post from a friend of mine. She's a smart, educated woman who knows which end goes in the outlet, so her post shocked me: She was asking a very basic question about investing that suggested she had very little understanding of how it worked at all. I started talking to my girlfriends about money, and found that many—too many—of them had never been taught the basics of how a smart girl should manage her money.
That was how this blog was born. I wanted to create a place where smart women could come and learn the things they may not have been taught about money. My hope is that this may help some women manage their finances better, and sleep better at night as a result.
